Suggested Usage
The Jersey Roots, Global Reach tagline may be used on a variety of communications materials. We’ve outlined our suggested usage here to help you get started.
Formatting
Jersey Roots, Global Reach looks best in simple, classic
Rutgers Visual Identity fonts or their substitutes, without any bold or italic treatment. The tagline can appear on a single line or on two lines, as follows:
Punctuation
The only punctuation used with Jersey Roots, Global Reach is the comma between “Roots” and “Global.”
The following uses are incorrect:
Colors
Jersey Roots, Global Reach may appear in red, black, or white. When using red, please use the specific
color outlined in the Rutgers Visual Identity System.

Placement
With the Rutgers Logotype and Signatures
You are welcome to use the tagline with the Rutgers Visual Identity System. However, as with all Rutgers communications materials, the
size and space requirements in relation to the Rutgers logotype and signatures must always be maintained. The tagline should never replace or be a part of the
Rutgers logotype or any Rutgers signatures.
Here are some examples of suggested placement with the Rutgers logotype:
Incorrect Placement
The tagline should not replace or be a part of the Rutgers logotype or any Rutgers signatures.
The tagline should not appear larger or heavier than the Rutgers logotype.
On Communications Materials
Jersey Roots, Global Reach works best as a stand alone or closing statement. It should not be used as a headline.

Other design solutions are acceptable, as long as the
Rutgers Visual Identity guidelines are followed.

Downloads

This may be used on print ads and brochures.

Web Buttons
These are formatted in various sizes and can be placed on any Rutgers webpage. When placed in relation to a Rutgers logotype or signature the Rutgers Visual Identity minimum clear space guidelines must apply.
Email Signature
This can be used at the bottom of your email. The download will only contain the Jersey Roots, Global Reach graphic. You may also consider typing "Jersey Roots, Global Reach" into your signature manually. Arial font in red works well when using this method.
