


The spirit mark serves as a rallying point and a bold unifying visual for Rutgers intercollegiate athletics and may also be used by the following groups when Rutgers pride is the primary message:
The red used in the spirit mark is the same red used in the primary color palette for the visual identity system: Pantone® 186. Refer to the Visual Identity Manual [PDF–10MB] (chapter 8.0) for detailed information about color treatments for the athletics logos.
For acceptable equivalents for fabric screen printing or other similar applications, contact Trademark Licensing.
Using the Rutgers Spirit Mark
Anyone wishing to use the spirit mark must request permission from Trademark Licensing. Alumni groups should channel their requests through Alumni Relations Communication Office.
