Retired Logos

When the current visual identity program was approved in 2006, all distinctive logos were retired. In addition, no other marks or symbols may be used or created to represent the university as a whole or any part thereof. On this page, you will find additional university marks that have also been retired.

Chancellor-Level Signatures

As of January 2014, these chancellor-level signatures have been revised to include University in the signature. The revised marks (Rutgers University–New Brunswick, Rutgers University–Newark, and Rutgers University–Camden) may be downloaded at the Download Zone.

Informal Seal

With the introduction of the Rutgers shield, the university's informal seal has been retired. We understand that making this change can be costly. As you prepare to order new print materials, banners, promotional items, etc., please use the shield or one of the other appropriate university marks. Do not use the informal seal for any purpose. For assistance, please contact the visual identity project manager.
